UDL Book Builder- My Amazing Day at School

The purpose of this project is to help ELA Teachers choose digital book making templates and mentor students through writing process to publish their own work. During this process of creating my own Book Builder I was able to incorporate my daily life in a classroom from a student's perspective based on their actions and emotions that they follow everyday as a routine. I came up with the book content "My Amazing Day at School," because this particular student who always follows the same routine of greeting everyone in the morning, going over to the library to read and match similar items in the classroom to the illustrations, going over the the expression area in the classroom to write, paint, or draw always comes to class with an amazing energetic persona that I though it would be a great idea to showcase these memories with her family. The ELA Teachers inputs included to try to not write a lot when it comes to the text format and follow the guidelines with my age in audience in terms of vocabulary and content. One of the ELA teachers I was working with was excited to be introduced to this template online that she was planning on implementing it into her lesson plans in the future. Other Teachers can use Book Builder as a way for students to express their creativity, for presentations, and even for communicating with others and giving feedback by using the note section to add any comments made by peers you shared your book builder with.
