When I discussed with a Grade 2 ELA Teacher, a Grade 1 ELA Teacher, and a Kindergarten ELA teacher on ways to incorporate Second Life in ELA instruction here is a list of ideas we came up with during the discussion: 1) Instructors can assign students to create an avatar in an independent or group setting and select a destination based on a country they will be assigned to to a research project on. The purpose of this project is to help ELA Teachers choose digital book making templates and mentor students through writing process to publish their own work. During this process of creating my own Book Builder I was able to incorporate my daily life in a classroom from a student's perspective based on their actions and emotions that they follow everyday as a routine. I came up with the book content "My Amazing Day at School," because this particular student who always follows the same routine of greeting everyone in the morning, going over to the library to read and match similar items in the classroom to the illustrations, going over the the expression area in the classroom to write, paint, or draw always comes to class with an amazing energetic persona that I though it would be a great idea to showcase these memories with her family.
